On Thursday 29 June, we enjoyed an exceptional school outing to La Mina, a recycling workshop. This magical place taught us how to give a second life to glass bottles and flasks.
As soon as we arrived, we met the artist Anibex, who showed us two special machines. The first was used to mark a notch all around the glass, and the second allowed us to cut it with precision. It was impressive to see how, with a little technique and a lot of concentration, a simple bottle could become an entirely new object.
But the work didn’t stop there! Once the glass had been cut, it had to be polished with sandpaper to remove the sharp edges and make it smooth. It was a demanding but fun time, as everyone wanted their object to be perfect.
At the end of the workshop, we had in our hands a unique gift for the family celebration. This outing made us realise the importance of recycling and inspired us to continue transforming everyday objects.
Thanks to La Mina and Anibex, we learned that even a simple bottle can be used to create something beautiful and useful. It was an unforgettable experience!
