Photo safari in Old Havana for Year 5 and Year 6 pupils

Year 5 and Year 6 pupils took part in a photo safari in Old Havana. Parents who enjoy photography accompanied us, and two Cuban photographers, Luisa Martina and Mirela, guided the teams.

Each group consisted of one photographer and three or four pupils. The photographers taught us to look around us more carefully and choose what we wanted to show in our pictures.

We started at Plaza Vieja, where we took photos of the buildings.

Then we went to the Prado parks to photograph the trees, statues and play of light.

Finally, we ended up at the Malecón, by the sea, where we captured the waves and the buildings.

We walked a lot, but it was worth it. Thanks to the photos, we saw Old Havana in a different light, with a more attentive and creative eye.

You will soon be able to see our artistic photographs at an exhibition…
