Alejo Carpentier in the spotlight in CE1-CE2

To find out more about the writer for whom their school is named, CE1-CE2 pupils worked in the visual arts on details of the architecture of colonial Havana, a city that features heavily in Carpentier’s work. They also explored magic realism, a universe where the real and the imaginary meet by playing on the letters of the writer’s name. Their creations blend history, dreams and poetry!
