This year, our CE1-CE2 pupils enjoyed a wonderful adventure based on storytelling, working with two partner classes, one in France and the other in Nigeria!
It all began with a joint reading of the album “Le gentil facteur ou lettres aux gens célèbres”. Then each country shared a traditional tale from its own culture.
Our pupils explored a wide range of stories: classic tales, twisted versions, repetitive or accumulative structures, etc. It was a fascinating plunge into the world of oral literature!
The project ended with a writing exercise: the pupils imagined and wrote a letter, as in the album of the kind postman, to a character from one of the 3 tales in the exchange.
A project rich in reading, cultural discoveries and creativity!
