This year, as part of Taste Week, with the theme ‘A day, a flavour!’, Reception pupils set out to discover four flavours: salty, bitter, sweet and sour.
Through tasting sessions, language workshops, scientific experiments and art activities, the children stimulated their senses, expanded their vocabulary and learnt to express their sensations and preferences.
To round off this wonderful sensory adventure, on Friday the children visited a farm to discover the origins of the food we eat, observe how it is produced and gain a better understanding of the journey food takes from the farm to our plates.
It was a week full of discoveries and experiences, which stimulated their curiosity, encouraged their independence and raised their awareness of the importance of a varied and balanced diet!
