A water filter with Year 7

Science teachers for 6ème: Mrs GONZALEZ and Mr FIALLO.

The Year 7 pupils built a water filter using

1. A 0.5-litre clear plastic bottle
2. Cotton wool
3. Clean gravel
4. Coarse sand
5. Washed fine sand
6. A beaker to collect the filtered water
7. A container holding water mixed with soil
8. A spatula and a spoon

This project was very interesting and provided an opportunity to put into practice the separation of the components of a mixture by filtration.
