A colourful induction week at LFIH

Discoveries, laughter and new friendships

That’s how our Integration Week at LFIH began, and what a week it was!

On Tuesday the 9th, the 5th and 4th year students kicked things off by the sea:

Sunny beach,

Kayaks and laughter,

A festive atmosphere and budding friendships.

On Wednesday, it was the turn of the Year 3 and Year 4 pupils to set off on an adventure: a visit to the botanical gardens under a glorious sky, punctuated by an introduction to yoga, which brought relaxation and good humour.

On Thursday, it was the turn of the youngest pupils: the Year 6 pupils explored the charming streets of Old Havana before setting off for the other side of the bay. There, at the foot of the majestic Christ of Havana, they discovered a breathtaking panoramic view of the Malecón and the historic center. It was a cultural and human experience that will remain etched in their memories.

Finally, to end the week on a high note, our Year 13 and Year 12 students headed back out to sea: kayaking, swimming and laughter punctuated this last day in the great outdoors.

But even more than the magnificent landscapes and sporting activities, this week had an essential mission: to welcome each student as a full member of our big LFIH family. By sharing these memorable moments, our newcomers made friends, got to know their classmates in a different way and learned that teamwork begins with trust and mutual support.

At LFIH, we know that before we can learn together, we must meet, listen to each other and enjoy the journey. Here, the start of the school year is not just the beginning of classes: it is the start of new friendships, memorable experiences and learning that takes place both inside and outside the classroom.

With so much laughter, smiles and positive energy, the school year couldn’t have gotten off to a better start!
