A visit to Cuban artist Nelson Villalobo’s magnificent home and studio at 260 Apodaca, between Factoría and Aponte in Old Havana, was an extraordinary experience.
With warm hospitality, Villalobo and his wife Eva welcomed us and guided us through the essentials of drawing and painting.
Between the lines, dots and patches, they wove precious life lessons. Villalobo shared with us not only his artistic vision, but also a philosophical and spiritual perspective, transmitting profound values in a dynamic workshop in which everyone participated enthusiastically.
It was undoubtedly an enriching experience that we all thoroughly enjoyed. People like Nelson Villalobo inspire us to dream and take a fresh look at life.
