The Lyc\u00e9e Fran\u00e7ais International de La Havane \u2018Alejo Carpentier\u2019, rooted in the tradition of excellence in French education, is set in a privileged environment at the crossroads of cultures and languages. Our school, spread over two sites – primary and secondary – welcomes pupils from nursery level, from the age of two, to the final year of secondary school. We offer a high-quality, rigorous education that is open to the world, with programmes approved by the French Ministry of Education.
Our school is part of the AEFE’s network of French lyc\u00e9es<\/strong>, a network of excellence that spans the globe and ensures the continuity of educational pathways in 600 establishments in 138 countries. Thanks to this network, our students have privileged access to world-renowned establishments, particularly in France, but also in major international universities.<\/strong><\/p>

The appeal of our school lies not only in the quality of its teaching, but also in its cultural and linguistic openness. Through our multilingual curriculum, our pupils benefit from immersion in three languages: French, Spanish and English from primary school onwards. Coming from over 30 different nationalities, our pupils have the chance to flourish in a multicultural environment.
From elementary school onwards, our pupils can choose between a Spanish section or English language reinforcement. In the final year of secondary school, our school offers the bachibac<\/strong>, a unique course that allows our students to take both the French bac and the Spanish bachillerato, a double curriculum that opens doors to higher education opportunities in both France and Spain.<\/p>

We make it a point of honour to support each student throughout their course. Our language integration programme is designed to ensure that every student<\/strong>, whatever their language of origin or level of French, can progress at their own pace and with confidence. In addition, we are fully committed to the success of each student by providing special support to students with special needs.
